We have been in the wastewater treatment business since 1983, and installed over 400 systems across Japan in public toilets in national parks and public facilities where zero-discharge was required. We have also installed one in Hawaii.
In many of these facilities, electric power source and sludge pumping are not needed and the effluent is not discharged.

Sludge reduction at its source of generation leads to a big cost ＆ CO2 reduction thereafter．
When sludge is incinerated it produces nitrous oxide, which has 310 times stronger greenhouse effect than carbon dioxide. Besides, fossil fuel is burnt in incineration and gasoline is consumed in sludge transportation.
If 1,000 tons of dehydrated sludge is transported 10km by gasoline powered vehicles and incinerated in a fluidized bed furnace with fossil fuel, its greenhouse gas amounts to 496.9 tons of carbon dioxide.
Our system requires no or little sludge pumping and enables zero discharge.
It utilizes a chain of various natural-born microbes, a maintenance-free septic tank and drainfield material: Tafgard.

Tafgard can evenly disperse effluent into the soil in an unsaturated flow, utilizing siphoning and capillary action, and the effluent evaporates or is absorbed by the above plants and transpires into the atmosphere. As it can supply the soil with oxygen and keep it aerobic, Tafgard does not clog. By applying impervious sheets, zero discharge is possible. It does not pollute the environment, including groundwater and natural waterways.
Its purifying capability is superb. It can work without any power source.

Scum Removal
We have a patent in removing scum using Scum Powder Alpha, which is ubiquitously and cheaply obtained. You don't need special microbes or bacteria to remove it.(See the pictures)

当社は１９８３年以来汚水処理に携わり、北は北海道から、南は九州まで、槍ヶ岳の山荘から河川敷の公衆トイレに至るまで、４００箇所以上の公衆トイレ、公共施設等に当社のシステムを納入しています。また国外ではハワイに１ヶ所納入しています。
多くは無動力、汲み取り不要、無放流で、維持管理が楽で、労力、コストが少なくすみます。

農業集落排水処理場等の小規模汚水処理施設で発生する余剰汚泥を発生元で削減すれば経費の大幅な節減と、ＣＯ２の削減という一石二鳥の効果が期待できます。
余剰汚泥の焼却の際には亜酸化窒素（二酸化炭素の３１０倍もの温室効果を持つ）が発生し、さらに焼却に化石燃料、運搬にガソリンを消費する（仮に１，０００tの脱水下水汚泥を１０kの距離を運搬し、流動床炉で化石燃料を使って焼却すると、約４９６．９tの二酸化炭素に相当する温室効果ガスが発生する）ため、発生元での汚泥の削減には大きなCO2削減効果が期待できます。（詳しくは、用水と排水　Vol.52 No. 10(2010)）

当社システムは余剰汚泥を微生物等の働きで消化する、無動力で維持経費のかからない「肥え溜め」方式を採用しています。また、嫌気性発酵で処理された水は、土壌処理装置（タフガード）を通じて、土壌の毛管現象により上昇し、蒸発し、あるいは植物に吸収され、大気中に蒸発散処理されるため、無放流が可能で、環境汚染を引き起こしません。

農業集落排水処理施設で発生する汚泥を敷地内で処理するために当社システムを導入された自治体では、汚泥引き抜きが不要になり、多額の費用が節減され、さらに他の施設への導入を決定、あるいは検討されています。（３２ヶ月間汚泥の引き抜きが無く、５１１万円の引き抜き料を節減）

[農業集落排水資源循環統合補助事業](補助割合：50％）の適用を受けるためには汚泥、あるいは処理水の循環利用をすることを前面に出すことで可能になります。（例えば、処理水を公共用地の樹木に液肥として利用する。）

ファイナンスリースを利用すれば、多額の初期投資が不要で、従来の汚泥引き抜きにかかっていた費用で月々返済でき、６、７年で全額の償還が可能になります。以後はその分経費が浮き、財政負担が大幅に軽減されます。
